The Ibstone Circle 5km and 10km

Why?!

Why should you come to Ibstone and run our event? We like to think any doubts will be put to rest on Sunday 28 April 2019 as you set off on the challenging multi terrain 5km and 10km journey around the stunning Wormsley Estate. The routes offer a test of fitness with a particularly steep section (the Ibstone Kicker if you like!) towards the finish, as well as breath taking views as you rise over the Hambleden Valley and a good mix of underfoot terrain. Please note in accordance with UKA guidance, only entrants over the age of 11 will be admitted for the 5k and 18 and over for the 10k.

As if the routes themselves weren't enough, we have plenty of parking, lots of friendly marshals, a finishers medal, professional first aid support, a crèche (if booked in advance) and a fantastic and very enthusiastic café team offering tea, coffee, bacon rolls and cake ...... lots of cake!

We look forward to welcoming you to our event!

Some feedback from the 2018 event:

"Challenging course, excellent organisation and very family friendly with a special kids activity tent! I'm sure this race will grow and grow"

"Fantastic event. Well organised and very friendly marshals. Lovely course. I will be back next year"

"Thanks Ibstone for a super event, great organisation on the day, beautiful course, well marshalled with friendly volunteers and an amazing array of cake. Not sure you will be able to match the weather for 2019, but definitely an event to add to my race calendar"

The 5k Route

From the edge of Ibstone Common the route leads you down Grays Lane and the off-road descent beyond before levelling off as you head through the Wormsley Estate. Take a moment to savour the views and catch your breath before you take on the "Ibstone Kicker". The course levels as you pass The Millennium Stone and sprint for glory.

The 10k Route
The 10k course follows that of the 5k until the top of the Ibstone Kicker where it turns to lead out over an ancient field before crossing the Ibstone Road and dropping down into the valley on the other side of the village.  It follows tracks through fields and woodlands before climbing back up into Ibstone. Marshals will cheer you on, as you run through the heart of Ibstone before you drop into the beautiful Parsonage Woods and return, via Grays Lane, to the common and to the finishing line at Race HQ.
